Subtalk / Mac / Meetings
Subtalk is a Mac app that shows translated subtitles while people talk in calls, meetings and videos, then turns each one into notes with a summary, decisions and action items. Speech recognition, translation and the summary run on your Mac: what you hear and say is not sent anywhere.
Live subtitles
Subtalk hears your Mac's sound and your microphone. Nothing joins the meeting: no bot, no plugin, no link to share.
A floating subtitle strip stays on top of the meeting window. Pick a second subtitle language, or translate your own words back for the other side.
About 30 languages to hear and translate. Some need a model you download once in the app; Apple's translation needs the free macOS language packs.
No cloud · No account in the app
Apple's on-device speech recognition and translation, plus speech and AI models you download once in the app (the summary model is 2.7 GB and needs 12 GB of memory or more). No audio or text goes to a server.
Notes are stored encrypted in the app's folder on your Mac. Recordings are kept only if you turn on Save recordings.
The app unlocks with a licence key it checks on your Mac. There is no sign-in in the app and no analytics.
