1. What this covers
This policy covers every credit purchase on Yangopen, on both payment methods: international cards and domestic bank transfer.
App purchases on the App Store (PhaseSnap, PaperHear and the others) are handled by Apple and follow Apple's refund policy. Requests for those must go to Apple, not to us.
2. What credit is
Yangopen sells prepaid credit. Credit is a balance on your account, spent on the tools that run on our servers — the Plus voices and three of the image tools, for example. Tools that run entirely on your own device cost nothing.
Credit is not money, not a cryptocurrency, and cannot be transferred to another account. Your current balance is always visible on the Account page.
3. When you get a refund
- Unspent credit, within 14 days. If you bought credit and have not spent any of it, you get the full amount back, provided you ask within 14 days of the purchase.
- You were charged twice. If one order was charged twice, the duplicate is refunded as soon as we confirm it.
- You received nothing. If you were charged but the credit never arrived, we refund it or add the credit — your choice.
- A charge you did not make. If your card was used and you did not buy anything, tell us. We refund it in full.
4. When you do not
- Credit already spent. Credit spent on a voice generation or an image run is not refunded. The work completed and the result was delivered, so the computing cost was incurred. This is the rule the summary above refers to.
- More than 14 days, with the credit unspent. After 14 days from the purchase, unspent credit is no longer refundable. It stays in your account and remains usable — nothing is taken away.
- You are unhappy with a result that is still what was described. For example: a background removal that is not as clean as you hoped, but which did return a transparent image as promised. We want the feedback, but the credit spent on producing it is not refundable.
- An account closed for breaking the terms of use. Any remaining credit is not refunded.
5. The 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Norway, you have the right to cancel a purchase of digital content within 14 days without giving a reason.
By law that right ends once the content has been delivered and you have begun to use it. That is how we apply it:
- Credit not spent, asked for within 14 days: full refund.
- Credit spent: by spending it you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for the part you have used. That consent is what lets us deliver a result immediately instead of holding it for 14 days. You also confirm it at the point of purchase, as set out in the Terms of Service.
6. How to ask
Email [email protected] with:
- The email address on your Yangopen account.
- The order reference, or the date and amount you paid.
- Why you want the refund — a short line is enough.
Your past orders are listed under Add credit on the Account page.
7. How long it takes
We answer every request within 2 working days. A valid request is processed within 5 working days after that.
The money goes back the way it came: card or bank transfer. Banks and card networks then take another 5 to 10 working days to show it on your statement. For card payments the payment provider is the merchant of record on the transaction, so the refund comes from them rather than from an account named Yangopen. A bank transfer is refunded by a transfer from Yangopen's own account.
8. If you are thinking about a chargeback
Message us first. A chargeback takes weeks and usually ends in a decision neither side controls. An email usually settles it in days. If you have already filed one, we will still work with your bank to resolve it.
