Frequently asked questions
Not answered here? Ask Yangopen
Is this a legal signature?
It places a picture of your signature on the page, like signing a printed page and scanning it. It is not a digital signature with a certificate. Documents that require one, such as e-invoices, tax filings and e-contracts that ask for a digital signature, need the signing software of a certificate provider.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The file and your signature stay in your browser, on your own device. Your signature is not kept after you close the page.
How do I make my signature?
Three ways: draw it with a mouse or a finger, type your name and choose a style, or upload a photo of your signature on white paper. The white paper is removed, so only the ink is placed.
Can I add a date or my name?
Yes. Add date places today’s date; Add text places any line you type, such as your full name. Each can be dragged and resized like the signature.
Can I sign several pages?
Yes. Scroll to a page and press Add signature again; the window offers your last signature, so you do not draw it twice. Everything placed is written into the PDF when you save.
