Frequently asked questions

Not answered here? Ask Yangopen

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. The files are read and joined in your browser, on your own device. The page loads its PDF code from this site and sends no file anywhere.

Is there a limit?

Each file can be up to 300 MB. There is no fixed number of files, but a very large total can be slow on a phone, because all the work happens on the device.

Does the merged file keep its quality?

Yes. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and searchable and pictures keep their quality. The bookmarks of the original files (the outline beside the pages in a PDF reader) are not kept, and fill-in form fields can stop working, so fill in forms before you merge.

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

Not while it is locked. Open it in a PDF reader with its password, print it to PDF, then add the new file.

Can I move or remove single pages?

Here you set the order of whole files and turn whole files. To move, remove or turn single pages, open the merged file in Split PDF.
