How to convert a currency
Currency Converter turns an amount into many currencies at once at today's market rate, with Vietcombank's buying and selling rates beside it, right in your browser.
- Type in any row
An amount next to any currency: “100”, “1,500,000” or “2.5m”. Every other row changes with it.
- Choose the currencies
Press + at the top to add one; × takes one away. Your list is kept for next time.
- See what the bank gives
The table under the list is what Vietcombank pays for 20 currencies in cash and by transfer, and what it sells them for. Press a code in the table to add that currency to the list.
- Send it
Press the copy icon at the top to paste every row into a message, or send the page's address: it opens at the same amounts.

How many dong is one US dollar today?
Type 1 in the US dollar row. The dong row is today's market rate; the Vietcombank table below says what the bank pays for a dollar in cash or by transfer.
Which rate does it use?
The market rate, halfway between buying and selling, for more than 160 currencies, updated once a day. Banks and exchange counters buy a little below it and sell a little above it; for the dong, Vietcombank's own rates are shown too.
Why does the bank give less than the market rate?
A bank buys foreign money a little below the market rate and sells it a little above; the difference is its margin. Cash usually gets less than a transfer.
What do buy cash, buy transfer and sell mean?
They are the bank's side. Buy cash: the dong the bank pays for one unit in notes. Buy transfer: what it pays when the money arrives by transfer. Sell: the dong you pay the bank for one unit.
How often are the rates updated?
The market rate once a day. Vietcombank changes its rates during the day, and the page reads them again every hour. The time of each is written next to it. The rates are for reference: the counter at the bank has the final one.
Does it work without a connection?
Yes. The last rates are kept on your device, so the page opens and converts offline; the time shows how old they are.
Is anything sent to a server?
No amount you type is sent. The page fetches the rate table from Yangopen and does the sums in your browser. Your last currencies are kept only on this device.
