1. Scope and acceptance
Retouch Studio is a Mac app made and sold by Yang Yang HOANG LE, an individual developer in Vietnam who runs Yangopen (“we”). When you download, activate or use the app, or buy a plan, you accept these terms. Your Yangopen account is covered by the Yangopen terms of service.
2. Licence
While your plan is active (or during the trial), we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Retouch Studio on up to 2 Macs activated with your account, for your personal use or your work. The app is licensed, not sold.
3. Activation and Macs
- You activate each Mac with a code that you approve on yangopen.com. Approve only a code that you got in the app yourself.
- One plan works on 2 Macs at the same time. You remove Macs in Account › Apps; each account can remove up to 3 Macs in 30 days.
- The app checks the licence with yangopen.com every few days and works offline for up to 5 days after the last check.
- At activation and at each check we record a hashed Mac id, the Mac name, the app version and a country read from your network address, as the privacy policy describes.
4. Free trial
A new account gets a free trial when it activates its first Mac, for the number of days shown on the Retouch Studio page (now 7 days). Each account and each Mac gets one trial. The trial needs no card and does not change into a paid plan by itself.
5. Plans and payment
- By card: a monthly or yearly plan renews automatically at the end of each period, at the current price, until you cancel. Polar (polar.sh) takes the payment as the merchant of record and can add tax for where you live.
- By bank transfer (VND): you pay in advance for a month or a year. The plan does not renew automatically; each transfer adds one period to your end date. The transfer note must contain the exact order code.
- Prices are on the Retouch Studio page and the payment page. A price change does not change a period you already paid; for a plan that renews, we tell you before a new price applies.
6. Cancellation
Card plan: cancel at any time in Account › Apps › Manage card plan. The plan works until the end of the paid period and you are not charged again. A bank-transfer plan ends by itself on its end date.
7. Refunds
- Within 14 days of a payment, you get that payment back in full when you ask; the period ends when we refund it.
- After 14 days we do not refund the rest of a period; the plan works until its end date.
- If you were charged twice, or you paid and did not get the plan, we refund or give you the plan, as you choose.
- Send requests to [email protected] with your account e-mail and the order code. We refund a bank transfer by transfer to the account that paid.
Nothing here limits your rights under the consumer protection law where you live.
8. What you must not do
Share your account or licence for others to use; get around the licence, the Mac limit or a time limit (for example by setting the Mac's clock back); reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or decrypt the app or try to get its source code; modify, copy, rent or redistribute the app; use the app to break the law or the rights of the people in the photos. This applies except where the law clearly allows it.
9. Your photos and the people in them
Your photos and your edited results are yours. You are responsible for having the right to edit and use photos of other people. Machine results can be imperfect; check them before you deliver them to a client.
10. Updates and availability
Features and supported macOS versions can change when the app updates. If we stop selling Retouch Studio, a paid plan works until its end date.
11. Termination
We can revoke the licence of an account that breaks section 8. When a plan ends or is revoked, the app stops opening new photos and stops exporting; your photos on your Mac are not touched.
12. Intellectual property and open source
The app, its design and its name belong to Yangopen or its licensors. Open-source parts keep their own licences, listed in the app.
13. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, the app is provided as is, and we are not liable for lost data or indirect damage. Keep copies of your original photos. These terms are governed by the law of Vietnam.
