Your project data
stays on your iPhone

PhaseSnap is local by default. There is no Yangopen account, automatic cloud sync, advertising or analytics SDK.

Effective date: August 20, 2026

In short: Project data, photographs, notes, schedules, and coordinates are processed and stored locally on your device. Information leaves the application only when you explicitly trigger an Export or Share action.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the PhaseSnap iPhone app and the related support pages operated by Yangopen.

2. Data handled on the device

PhaseSnap can store project names, job numbers, addresses, client names, contact phone numbers and channels, scheduled tasks, selected or captured photos, notes, tags, timestamps, user-entered site labels, device-provided location samples and accuracy values, comparison pairs, file paths and SHA-256 fingerprints.

This content remains in the app's iOS sandbox unless you choose to export or share it. Yangopen cannot view or recover local project content.

3. Camera, Photos, Location and Maps

  • Camera: requested when you start photo capture inside a project.
  • Photos: Apple’s system picker provides only the images you select for import.
  • Location When In Use: can show your position while choosing a project address or attach coordinates and accuracy when you explicitly choose it.
  • Maps and addresses: when you search for or select a project address, PhaseSnap uses Apple MapKit and Apple geocoding services. Search terms, addresses or coordinates needed for the lookup may be sent to Apple to return map and address results; Yangopen does not receive this data.

Imported photos use no current GPS by default. If a selected image contains photo metadata GPS, PhaseSnap identifies that source. If you explicitly attach the iPhone's current GPS during import, it is labeled as import-time location and does not prove where the photo was taken.

4. Exports and sharing

PDF reports, ZIP packages and comparison images are created on the device. They leave PhaseSnap only through an export or system share action that you initiate. The receiving person, app or service controls the file after you share it.

5. Purchases

Apple processes the optional Lifetime Pro purchase and provides the StoreKit entitlement used to unlock features or restore access. PhaseSnap does not receive payment-card details or your Apple ID password.

6. Retention and deletion

Projects and photos moved to Recently Deleted remain recoverable on the device for up to 30 days unless you permanently delete them sooner. Removing the app can remove local content. iOS backups may retain app data according to your Apple backup settings.

7. Analytics, advertising and tracking

PhaseSnap contains no advertising or analytics SDK, does not track you across apps or websites and does not require an account. The App Store release does not include a remote project-data service.

8. Security and limits

PhaseSnap relies on the iOS sandbox and file protection for local storage. Device time, location and photo metadata can be wrong, approximate, stale, changed or unavailable. PhaseSnap labels the source but does not independently verify a scene, time, location or chain of custody.

9. Changes and contact

Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].
