What the marketplaces ask of a cover photo
Shopee and TikTok Shop do not require a white background, but both recommend one. The tool's 1024×1024 square is larger than both minimums. Rules change, so check the marketplace's own page before you list. This is what their seller help pages said when we read them on 25 October 2026 (the Vietnamese editions):
- Shopee: the cover photo is always a 1:1 square, at least 500×500 px. Shopee recommends shooting the product on white, in good light, with the product filling at least 70% of the photo, and avoiding added text or pictures on the cover. Each product has up to 9 photos, cover included.
- TikTok Shop: every photo at least 600×600 px, in colour, not blurry, up to 9 square photos. The main photo has a single-colour background (white recommended), and the product fills at least 60% of the frame and is shown whole, not cropped.
- Lazada: we could not find an official page on photo size and background; check Lazada Seller Center.
How to put many photos on white
- Open the marketplace section Go to Remove background and scroll to Many photos for a marketplace listing. It works for a single photo too.
- Drop the product photos Drop up to 10 JPEG, PNG or WebP photos, up to 25 MB each. Convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG first with HEIC to JPG.
- Press Remove backgrounds The button shows the count, for example Remove backgrounds (6 photos). The photos go to the server one at a time and the status line counts them.
- Download the zip When it is done, press Download zip. Each photo comes twice: the white square (JPG) for the cover, and a transparent PNG for banners or frames later.
- Check every photo Open each photo at full size and look at the edge: hair, fur, cords and see-through parts are where the AI slips. Redo a bad one on its own in the top part of the page, as described below.
Fix one photo's edge by hand
The top part of the page works on one photo. Drop it on Drop an image here, wait for the cutout, then:
- Under Background, choose White.
- Raise Edge Smooth a few px if the outline looks jagged.
- Press Fix by hand: Restore paints back what was removed by mistake, Erase removes leftover background. Ctrl/⌘+Z undoes; press Done when it looks right.
- Press Download PNG. This file keeps the original size and is not square yet. Put it through Resize & add logo with Square 1:1 · 1080 × 1080 and Keep the whole photo, white around.
Shooting tips for a cleaner cutout
- Shoot in even light, such as near a window in daytime. Avoid direct sun that throws a hard shadow under the product.
- Put the product in front of a plain background of a different colour: a light product on a dark background, a dark product on a light one. The clearer the edge, the cleaner the cut.
- Shoot straight on or at about 30 degrees, as Shopee suggests, with the whole product in the frame.
- Wipe the product and peel off price stickers: dust shows more on white.
- Sharpen a blurry photo first with Sharpen image. Removing the background does not make a photo sharper.
- A long, thin product (a pen, a charging cable) leaves a lot of white on two sides of a square: that is the limit of a square frame.
Free runs, and where the photos go
Each photo is one run. At the time of writing you get 5 free runs a day for this tool, with or without an account, reset at 00:00 UTC. After that each photo costs 25 credits and needs an account. The current numbers are on the pricing page.
If the free runs end mid-batch, the finished photos can still be downloaded. Photos travel over HTTPS to Yangopen's server, are processed in memory, never written to disk and not used to train AI. This tool has no on-device mode.
When this tool is not the right one
See-through or shiny products (glassware, clear plastic bottles, jewellery) often lose part of their edge or keep the background colour seen through them. For these, a straight shot on a sheet of white card in good light usually looks more real.
For a photo larger than 1024×1024, for print or a banner, use the full-size PNG from the top part of the page.
