Which blur can be fixed
TikTok Shop requires every product photo to be high quality, not blurry or pixelated, and at least 600×600 px; Shopee asks for at least 500×500 px. A photo that falls short can make shoppers scroll past, or get the listing flagged. Before fixing, see which kind yours is:
- Fixes well: small photos (from a supplier, saved from a chat), photos slightly soft from imperfect focus, model shots with a slightly soft face.
- Hard to fix: camera shake (every edge smeared in one direction), focus on the background instead of the product, dark shots full of grain. Detail that was never recorded cannot be recovered.
How to sharpen a product photo
- Add the photo Open Sharpen image and drop a JPEG, PNG or WebP (up to 25 MB), or paste with Ctrl+V. One photo at a time.
- Choose the mode Under Mode, choose High Quality. It runs on Yangopen's server: it enlarges a small photo with AI, sharpens a large one at its own size, and restores faces.
- Set the detail The Detail slider starts at 70%. Raise it to keep more fabric or wood texture; lower it when the photo is grainy.
- Compare Drag the divider between Before and After, or press Zoom to check the print on the packaging, the stitching, the logo. The cards below show the new resolution and file size.
- Download Press Download. A photo with transparent areas comes back as a PNG that keeps them; any other comes back as a JPG.
Three modes: which one
- High Quality: runs on the server, with free runs every day. Suits small or slightly blurry product photos and model shots.
- Restore old photos: the same, plus a step that removes scratches and peeling. For old prints; product photos do not need it.
- Fast: runs in your browser, free, no limit, and the photo stays on your device. It only sharpens edges with the Amount and Radius controls and adds no new detail.
Tips for sellers
- Sharpen the original first, then remove the background, resize or add a logo. That way a logo or text added later is not sharpened along with the photo.
- Zoom in and reread the print on the packaging (ingredients, dates, volume) after sharpening. The AI redraws detail and can guess small letters wrong; a photo with wrong information invites complaints.
- On model shots the AI redraws facial detail. Compare with the original to be sure the model still looks like themselves.
- To study both versions side by side, or send them to whoever approves photos, put the original and the sharpened photo into Before / after and export one split image.
- If the photo is sharp but the background is messy, remove it next with Remove background.
Free runs, and where the photos go
Fast is free with no limit. High Quality and Restore old photos give you free runs every day, with or without an account: 5 at the time of writing, reset at 00:00 UTC. After that each run costs credits and needs an account; see the pricing page. When the free runs are used and your credit is not enough, the tool says so and offers Fast mode.
In the two AI modes the photo travels over HTTPS to Yangopen's server, is processed in memory, not stored and not used to train AI. In Fast mode it does not leave your device.
When to reshoot instead
If the photo has camera shake, focus in the wrong place or is too dark, a reshoot is usually quicker than a fix. Rest the phone on something steady, tap the product on the screen to focus, and shoot near a window in daylight. A photo that is sharp from the start is always truer than one where AI has drawn in the detail.
Frequently asked questions
Is sharpening free?
Fast is free with no limit. The two AI modes give you free runs every day (5 at the time of writing); after that they cost credits and need an account.
Does it make the photo larger?
Only a small one. In the two AI modes, a photo of 1200 px or less on its longest side is enlarged, by up to 4× and to at most 1920 px on the longest side. A larger photo keeps its size. Fast keeps the original size.
Can it fix a very blurry photo?
No. Detail lost to heavy blur or camera shake cannot be brought back. It works best on soft, slightly blurry or small photos.
Which mode for product photos?
High Quality. Use Fast when the free runs are used up, or when you do not want the photo to leave your device.
Are my photos stored?
No. In the AI modes the photo is processed in memory on Yangopen's server and dropped. In Fast mode it never leaves your device.
